~*~ Letter ~*~ Widow ~*~ Merriment ~*~
The focal card today is Widow. This gives me the feeling of being alone. I'm wondering if the other girl I work with won't be in today. That's the first thing that came to my thoughts as I saw this card. The Widow is about feeling sad or cut off. Feeling like you are alone and being tired of it. It can be about thinking with your heart and not your head. The first card today is Letter. Letter is about messages, the written word. It can be an actual letter, a text message, something you read more so than a phone call. The final card is Merriment. A card of celebration and happiness. Perhaps hearing news of an emotional letter that makes you happy? The card hidden from view is the Judge. Hmm. Work issues.

NaNoWriMo - MIA

If my posts are a little less often in the coming days and weeks, it's because nearly every free moment I've got is going to be spent writing for the NaNoWriMo competition going on until November 30. I will try to find time to post something here daily, but may not get my daily card drawings done. They will be back, and I'm not going anywhere... :) My NaNo page is here, where you can read a short excerpt from my book, "Beauty's Beholder."

Bite Me Edward

If you can't read it, it says: "For the love of God Edward, Bite Me!" I'm looking forward to the release of New Moon the 20th of November. There is a whole bunch of Twilight stuff here. I may actually get one of these shirts. Yes, I am obsessed. Yes I am too old for this, but I loved the Twilight Saga books. They have been polling people to see who they think should direct "Breaking Dawn." You can see more about that at Twilight Guy. Ok. Enough Twilight for one post.

And...here we go!

1. Plans and schedules are meant to be broken.

2. I'm happy when things are chaotic and nothing goes as planned. It keeps things interesting.

3. The last thing I drank was Diet Mtn. Dew.

4. One of the most valuable things in my life is all the lessons I've learned.

5. I like just about everything on my pizza.

6. Dear November, let's not get any colder than it is right now.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to kicking back after work, tomorrow my plans include grocery shopping and writing and Sunday, I want to get a big chunk of my NaNoWriMo done!

Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards

~*~ Hope ~*~ Lover ~*~ Loss ~*~
Two out of three ain't bad. The focal card today is the Lover card. If I were doing a reading for or about a man, I would know why this card has plopped itself right in the middle of my spread this morning. The Lover card always represents a person, and that person is always male. So today, I guess my focus will be on a man. The Lover card is facing Hope. Hope is a card that speaks of hoping and longing for something very badly. It has a slowing down affect on the situation that we find ourselves in. It's telling you that what you want isn't denied, it's just taking its sweet time arriving. You need to stop longing for and thinking about the past, as that is the direction she faces in the card. The 3rd card today is Loss. Loss is asking you to be mindful of what it is that you have to lose in a situation. Evaluate it. Get your cards out there on the table and proceed cautiously. The card hidden from view is Fortune.
